There are two types of Toast Cash – purchased Toast Cash and bonuses.
Toast Cash that you purchase is a virtual gift card issued by Green Dot Bank that you buy through the Toast Local iOS App or online. You can buy Toast Cash to use through your Toast account or as a gift for someone else. Purchased Toast Cash can only be used to purchase goods and services at restaurants using Toast through your Toast Account. You can learn more about purchased Toast Cash here. Purchased Toast Cash has no expiration date.
In regards to purchased Toast Cash, at this time, we’ll be pausing the cash back rewards portion of the program. While you’re still welcome to continue using the app and enjoying all of its features, purchases made with Toast Cash will no longer earn a percentage back.
Bonus Toast Cash is used for discounts at restaurants using Toast and is provided to you by Toast. Bonus Toast Cash can only be redeemed for discounts when you purchase goods and services at restaurants using Toast. Toast Cash you receive in the form of bonuses is not cash, does not represent prepaid or stored value, and is not redeemable for cash or credit. Bonus Toast Cash has an expiration date.
