What is credit card linking?
Credit card linking allows you to connect your credit card information to your Toast profile. When you use a linked card at a Toast restaurant, your order details are automatically added to your Order History, which is accessible in the Profile tab of the app.
How does Toast use linked credit card information?
Toast uses your linked credit card to populate your Order History. This history helps personalize your in-app experience. For more details, please refer to our guest terms of service.
Which cards cannot be linked?
A credit card that is already associated with another account cannot be linked to a different account. To link such a card, it must first be unlinked from the other account. If a card number is shared by authorized users, only one individual can link their card. Currently, we do not support linking Apple Card or digital wallet versions of your credit card (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay).
How do I unlink a card?
To unlink a card:
Navigate to the Wallet tab
Scroll down to Payment Method to see your saved cards
Click the 'Edit' button
Select the card you'd like to unlink, and tap on the (...)
Choose "Unlink Card".
Does linking my credit card to my profile also enroll me in restaurant reward programs?
Linking your credit card for restaurant-specific reward programs is managed separately at this time.
Does Toast access my transaction data outside of Toast restaurants?
Toast does not have access to any transaction information associated with your linked card from outside of Toast restaurants.
Will Toast charge my credit card when I link it?
No, linking your credit card to Toast does not result in an immediate charge. Your linked card is saved as a convenient payment option for future purchases.
