Birthday rewards can be redeemed in person at the restaurant where you earned the reward, on the restaurant's online ordering website (where applicable), or in the Toast Local app (iOS only).
Birthday rewards are offered and configured by each restaurant that runs a loyalty program through Toast. That means the reward value, when the reward is valid (for example, only on your birthday, during your whole birth month, or another window the restaurant chooses), and any other rules or restrictions are decided by the restaurant—not by Toast. Some restaurants may choose not to offer a birthday reward, even if they have a loyalty program.
You can use a birthday reward where the restaurant allows redemption, which may include:

On the restaurant’s online ordering site (when the restaurant has opted into using one)
In the Toast Local app (iOS only)
Reward expiration varies by restaurant—some expire immediately after your birthday, while others remain valid for a week or even a full month.
